Pro or not, its always more fun to play with someone you know.

I have a computer problem that i don't know how to resolve, else i'd be playing bf3 by now. See here is the deal. I have this motherboard Jake sent me. Its working flawlessly. Its a micro atx board so it has two DDR2 ram slots of which both are taken by 1 GB ram sticks. That not enough ram to run BF3. So what i could do is remove these two sticks and replace them with 2x2GB of DDR2. I didn't find that smart since DDR2 costs alot more than DDR3 right now and it would be useless for any future computer than im going to have.
So i bought a motherboard from ebay for around 60€ that supports both DDR2 and DDR3. A decet motherboard Asus P5QC. The problem is, it doesn't work as it should. It causes my video driver to crash regularly to the point that i can't use windows at all. Sometimes it crashes before windows even loads, sometimes after i exit the game. Either i get the black screen or the video driver crash error.
The normal conclusion would be that motherboard is faulty. But one of my friends fried his motherboard so i lended (or is it lent) him this motherboard. He was impressed by this motherboard, saying he had never had such a stable motheroard before, as well as a great onboard sound card. He had a completely different system with ATI card.
I have no idea what could be wrong but obviously the point of trouble is the graphic card itself not the motherboard. I just don't know why it would work normally in my old mobo but not in the one i want it to work now.

So yeah this is the life story of why i am still not playing BF3. I would RMA my graphic card but i have no clue how long it would take them to replace it. I need computer every day and no its not just for games

Graphic card GTX 460
Drivers are of course up to date, i have also tried with older versions.
My motherboard only has one PCIE slot. Both of my motherboards.
You can't physically put a wrong cpu onto a motherboard.

There are only two options possible. Either thist graphic card doesn't work properly and im lucky that it does work with the mobo jake sent me or its the other mobo that is broken and works only on ATI cards propery. None of the above sound too convincing.

Re: BF3

Played BF3. First experience...the game is great. Its hard. Its hard for a beginer. Its hard on system resources. To me it feels more like BF2 than BC2. You kill easier, you die easier. Its a worthy succesor to a BF2. I wont describe graphics and sound. They became battlefields trademark of quality. I just don't like the darker parts. They are just simply too dark. Yeah i know its realistic that in a huge tunnel there should be no lights but sometimes its just impossible to see anyone. Well later you get flashlight, infrared and thermal scopes so this should be no problem and will exlain the fact of why i kept dying in those areas. Not that im good. Infact just like every other battleifled out there, once you start playing it you feel like you are playing the FPS game for the first time. Another thing i don't like is the deploy map, once you die you gotta pick a spawn point. THe icons are so small i can barely see where im gonna spawn. Not knowing the map doesnt help. And why can't i simply click on the square on the map to spawn on the specific point, why do i have to select it from the list of spawns? You could do both in BC2.

I could start giving praises now but it would simply take too long. This is THE game. THis is the game that is going to last for years. Not something im gonna change next year. It took them 6 years to go from battlefield 2 to battlefield 3 and i expect this one to last as long. Its just a game in the league of its own. Learning curve is steep and annoying. But me as a BF veteran i know that once you master this the real fun begins. When you reach this you just look at the other games and consider them less worthy, sunday warrior material.
Actually the biggest con of this game is that it killed Bad Company 2. I love that game. Its a different thing than BF3 and i would play both if i could. Im not sure how the situation is in bc2 right now tho but the last i played with Lean, there was not much competition left. Getting ace pin every single map, battling only with either denis or lean for that wasn't particularly fun anymore.
