What make of monitor do you guys have. i'm looking at the 27inch monitors, seen some cheap ones that have good reviews but dont have HDMI.

Some more expensive ones are better but have other faults with them.

Never save when buying monitor. Rather postpone your crossfire plans. Monitor is the part of computer that will last you the longest. Usually you replace a whole rig sooner than a monitor. I use Samsung 226CW, 22 inch 1680 x 1050 monitor. Its an old monitor from the 2007 when widescreen wast that common for gamers. Bought it because it had one of the fastest response times and low input lag. Picture quality was good for those days as well. I didn't notice the lack of picture quality untill i saw my new mobile phone. It far surpasses my monitor. Says it all really.

Back in the days when widescreen monitors came, the most popular aspect ratio was 16:10, in my eyes still the perfect aspect ratio. Yes, movies have the aspect ratio of 16:9 but for games i prefer slightly more vertical space, as well as for any other PC activity apart from watching movies. And even when watching movies, that black blank bar above and beyond the picture isn't bothering me much at all. Nowadays, most of the monitors are made with an aspect ratio of 16:9, for lower production costs, which is not my taste. If i was buying one, i would still be trying to find one with my preferred 16:10.

Good article about gaming monitors is here
